NEW REBUILD/REFURBISH/REPAIR POLICY CHANGES FOR ROTARY MACHINES
For several years, we have provided the value-added service of refurbishing older machines for our loyal customers. Despite the persistent escalation of costs associated with this endeavor, we have maintained our pricing structure, including a zero labor cost.
This situation has resulted in the actual cost of maintaining these services becoming a burden on our business, as we have been incurring a loss on rebuilds for a considerable amount of time now. Compounding these factors is the additional expense of maintaining a higher level of inventory and its associated costs, rendering the situation unsustainable.
Consequently, we are now compelled to implement modifications to the services we provide. This is not something that we take lightly, but we wanted to ensure that we can continue to offer our customers a way to keep their older machines in service.
So, to be able to continue rebuilding machines outside of warranty, the following changes are now immediately in effect:
There will be a one hour minimum fee of $50 assessed for any rebuild/repair. This cost is included in the pricing for each service below and will cover diagnostics as well as assembly and tuning of the rebuild/repair.
These services are dependent on our inventory of parts, please refer to the list of eligibility below to determine if your machine is able to be fully rebuilt.
- Full rebuild/refurbish-$425 This includes labor and all new internals (motor, cam and bearing(s) assembly), along with new slide (linear machines), and rear binders if needed. Essentially a new machine minus the frame and associated parts.
- Tube vise replacement-$75 This includes labor and new tube vice and clamp.
- Linear Slide style machine-Slide replacement only-$75 This includes labor and a new slide.
Please note-The serial number is located on the back plate that holds the clip cord binders and is a 4 digit number. Please specify which model machine you have when communicating with us about a rebuild/repair
D20- Serial number 4142 and up (2018 to 2024)
The One- Serial number 1 and up (2017 to 2024)
DLX- D0001 and up (2024 to current)
LUX-L0001 and up (2024 to current)
LOCO-0001 and up (2023 to current)
These services can be done on any age machine as long as we have parts in stock:
- Binder replacement only-$65 This includes labor and new rear binders for the machine.
- Shorted or broken wire fix-$50 This includes labor and re-solder of broken wires at the solder lugs. If there is an internal short due to bent wiring at the motor terminal a full rebuild may be needed.
- Linear Slide style Cam/Bearing assembly replacement only-$85 This includes labor and new cam and bearing.
- Loco style machine-Cam/Bearings assembly replacement only-$95 This includes labor and all new cam and bearings.
At this time, we do not sell individual parts such as motors or bearing assemblies. These machines actually need to be slightly tuned and require our expertise to make sure they are running tip top for you. If you just need some binders, we are happy to send them to you at a small cost plus shipping.
Shipping
Shipping fees are calculated by the shipping address. We only ship UPS as we have had too many problems in the past with the US post office. UPS allows us to insure the package as well and provide tracking to our customers.
Domestic CONUS return shipping is typically around $15. International and non-CONUS shipments are determined by address. We are happy to give you a shipping estimate for these, but will need full shipping address to do so. We are not responsible for customs duty and have no way to control what that amount is. Most countries provide duty relief for items being sent back for repair. You will need to ask your country’s customs about which forms to use and instructions to receive this relief. We cannot send items back as “gifts” or with a value that is not correct.
Please note that while we are happy to help keep your older machine running, we ask for two weeks time to do repairs/rebuilds. This is due to having to allot our time between the many tasks we have here and setting aside certain days for certain tasks. Machines sent in will be addressed in the order in which they are received. Sorry, but we cannot make exceptions to expedite these services.
Also, while we will continue to repair older machines as long as we still have the parts to do so, we will not be continuing to make older parts strictly to service old machines. There have been slight iteration changes along the way that make certain parts incompatible with different machine generations. When our surplus of parts for older machine runs out, they will be taken off the list of eligibility. If your machine is not on the list above, we are sorry, but we simply do not have the parts to fix them anymore.
